Introducing Alleria: Empowering Team Kalosys with Augmented Generative AI

Our AI team designed a solution that would assist with time consuming tasks like reporting, capital allocation, and resource optimization, all without sacrificing the agility to match the pace of enterprise AI.

By September 2024, we introduced Team Kalosys to the first version of Alleria. Originally a secure chatbot built on Anthropic models, Alleria has become an augmented AI assistant providing customized AI model selection, end-to-end security, and tools powering real-time insights.

Our early commitment to ethical and constitutional AI has yielded significant benefits. While Claude Sonnet ranked second in overall industry performance during Alleria's development, it distinguished itself with the lowest hallucination rates among competitors.

This advantage has persisted, as demonstrated in the recently released Model Alignment between Statements and Knowledge (MASK) report. The groundbreaking MASK benchmark revealed that most AI models provide false information at least one-third of the time. Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Alleria's current default model, was ranked as the least likely to provide false information among all 30 frontier large language models researchers evaluated.

Anthropic has continually ensured their models lead the industry in consistent truthfulness, accuracy, and low rates of intentional lies. Their constitutional approach does not merely guard against hallucinations, it ensures that their model says “I don’t know” instead of fabricating facts that a non-expert may believe. After two decades of delivering exceptional client solutions, Kalosys has amassed an expansive library of essential records and codified knowledge. Our management team uses multiple reporting and scheduling platforms for project management and execution. These realities guided our initial priorities: strategically designed to alleviate operational strain while dramatically enhancing the capabilities of our project and resource management teams.

We sat down with Elliott Morrison, our Director of Resource Strategies and Analytics, to discuss and demonstrate how Alleria has empowered her team since September. Elliott shared examples of daily-use prompts with Alleria, which included this highly detailed query:

“How many hours did John work on the third week of October 2024, divided by project?"

Within seconds, Alleria delivered a detailed, multi-dimensional report that previously would have required a team member to extract data from three separate systems and manually cross-reference the information. 

In another example, Elliott asked Alleria to identify underutilization or overutilization of employees and provide recommendations to correct any issues. Again, Alleria responded immediately with a detailed report of employee, part-time, and contractor hours.

The sophisticated output showcased Alleria's impressive contextual intelligence:

  • Detailed comparisons of scheduled versus actual hours with variance analysis
  • In-depth utilization metrics with actionable optimization recommendations
  • Strategic identification of team members by employment classification and functional roles

With Alleria, our managers have been able to save on average 16% of their time which was previously allocated to routine reporting tasks.

These hours are now strategically reinvested in high-impact initiatives that drive organizational growth and client success. Beyond these quantifiable time savings, Alleria has fundamentally transformed our decision-making processes, enabling more agile, data-informed strategies that consistently deliver superior outcomes.

Naming Alleria: An Exercise in Culture-Building

When we first introduced the chatbot interface to our team, something essential was clearly missing: a name that would embody its purpose and spirit.

Unlike other firms, Alleria’s name did not come from the product development team, marketing, or senior leadership.

In late 2024, we introduced an updated vision for our company, one that built upon our core values while emphasizing our evolution toward becoming AI-driven. We knew this name needed to emerge organically from our people. We wanted everyone to connect deeply with these changes and, most importantly, we wanted Alleria to represent a collective achievement that every team member contributed to. This drove a spirited naming competition, where all entries were visible to foster collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas. Submissions had one crucial criterion: a thoughtful explanation of how the proposed name aligned with the Kalosys mission and values. The final winner, Alleria, came from a connection to intelligence, determination, and justice that resonated with our team.

Continuous Evolution: Next Steps for Alleria

Resource management marked only the first milestone in our transformative journey to becoming a fully AI-driven enterprise. Already enhanced with a sophisticated library of specialized models, Alleria continues to evolve as our team develops tailored implementations across the organization.
